What Types of RVs does Vogt consign?
We consign Diesel and Gas Motorhomes, Travel Trailers, and Fifth Wheel Trailers that are ten years old and newer.
Trade-ins
Vogt accepts all types of vehicles (cars, trucks, motorhomes, travel trailers, fifth wheels and pop-ups) as trade ins for any of the units on our sales lot. Just select the vehicle you would like to purchase. If it is a consignment, we will purchase that vehicle from its owner with the intention of trading for your current vehicle. Vogt will give you a fair trade in value for your current unit and apply it to the trade. You can also save on sales tax when trading since you only pay the vehicle tax on the difference, not the total purchase price of the new RV.
How do I place my vehicle for sale with Vogt RV?

How is the asking price established on the RV?
Since we have sold thousand upon thousand of RVs and based on our 43 years of experience in this industry, we can easily determine a fair market value for your motorhome, fifth wheel or travel trailer. Vogt RVs appraisers know the RV market. We know what will sell and what will not. We discuss the market value with the owner and a fair asking price is established. We will politely refuse to list the vehicle if the owners price is unrealistically high. Once a fair price has been established, most of the RVs sell at the asking price or very close to it.
How long have you been in business?
If you're not familiar with Vogt RV, our family has been in the RV business since 1945. We have two locations in Forth Worth, Texas.
If I consign my vehicle with Vogt, will it sell?
Although no once can guarantee a specific unit will sell, but, if the RV is clean, priced fairly, and the systems work properly, there is not only a good chance it will see...but it will sell quickly.
Do you offer service contracts to potential buyers?
We do offer service contracts. Most RVs ten years old and newer are eligible depending on mileage and condition.
The Truth About RV Consignment
Fiction: Consign your RV with someone that only sells used because the sales personnel will push potential customer away from your RV to the new inventory.
Fact: Used RVs are the number one source of cash income for RV dealers. I can't speak for all dealerships, but at Vogt RV we want the customer to purchase what they want, NOT push them in any direction. In general terms, a salesperson is much more likely to steer a potential customer to a used RV.
Fiction: Consign or purchase an RV with someone that has no commission sales personnel because they can sell for less because their overhead is low.
Fact: Almost all reputable RV dealerships have commission sales personnel. They do not make a dime unless they sell an RV. All dealers and their sales personnel have bills to pay and need to feed their families, so they will work hard for the sale regardless of the profit margin.
Fiction: Consign your RV with someone that only sells used because they have several banks that lend money on used RVs.
Fact: The truth is if the dealer doesn't sell new RVs, the buyer will most likely have to get their own financing from a bank or credit union, which could take several days, have higher interest rates, and shorter terms. Any delay in delivering the RV can cause the buyer to back out of the purchase. Many prospective buyers will not complete the purchase if the interest rates are too high because it raises the payment considerably. RV dealerships that sell new RVs have huge commercial financial corporations that provide the dealer with millions of dollars in credit for their new RVs. Not only do they make a lending decision quickly, but they generally have much better interest rates and terms for the buyer.
