Rental Terms and Conditions
HOW TO MAKE A RENTAL RESERVATION: Reservations must be made in our office either in person, by email, or by telephone. All reservations must be made at least forty-eight hours prior to rental pick-up.
DEPOSIT: A $100.00 deposit is required at the time the reservation is made. When the trailer is picked up, we will require an additional security deposit (this varies depending on the unit). This is to cover damages and late fees. When the unit is returned on time, clean, and not damaged the entire deposit will be refunded. Smoking and pets are not allowed in the rental units. If any evidence of either is found, a portion of your security deposit will be retained.
CANCELLATIONS: Cancellation notices must be received 7 DAYS PRIOR to the reservation date in order to be refundable. IF NOT, THE $100.00 DEPOSIT IS FORFEITED!
INSURANCE: The renter must show proof of liability insurance and a valid driver’s license since he is responsible while pulling the trailer. In accordance with our insurance company, all renters must be at least twenty-five years old.
FUEL: All motorhomes will be rented with a full tank of fuel. The renter is responsible for refilling the fuel tank prior to return. If the tank is not filled, cost of filling the tank will be deducted from the security deposit.
PROPANE GAS: A tank for propane gas will be furnished at no charge. Renter will not be responsible for bringing the trailer back with a full propane tank. Renter assumes all responsibility for the use of the propane.
WIRING: Rental trailers are equipped with electric brakes and a 7-way harness. All tow vehicles must be equipped with electric brake control units. If needed, our service department can install a 7-way plug for a fee. A wireless brake control device is furnished at no additional cost for the duration of your rental. If we are going to wire your vehicle, please allow ample time for this process. It can be done at the time of pick-up but only if you have scheduled this work in advance. To schedule this work and get an estimate, contact our service department.
HITCH: Trailers must be pulled with a 2” frame mounted receiver hitch. The top of the hitch ball should be between 16” & 22” from the ground. We will furnish a hitch head with equalizer bars.
HOURS OF SERVICE: Trailers should be picked up between 9:00 am and 11:00 or 1:00 and 4:00 pm Monday thru Friday. Rentals may be returned between 9:00 am and 11:00 or 1:00am and 4:00pm Monday thru Saturday. If the unit is returned on Saturday, the unit will not be checked in or deposits refunded until Monday. Please make an appointment for a pick-up time, either a morning pick-up or afternoon pick-up when you make a reservation.
DEMONSTRATION & CHECK OUT PROCEDURE: Please be aware that it may take up to an hour to pick -up the rental. Please allow time for us to go through the unit and demonstrate the operation of it. You will be required to sign an inspection sheet citing the condition of the trailer. If you see something damaged, bring it to our attention and we will repair it or make a note of it so you will not be held responsible. “IT WAS LIKE THAT WHEN I GOT IT” will not be an acceptable excuse to keep from paying for damages if not noted on the inspection sheet.
PAYMENT: Deposit and rent are payable in full in advance or at the time of pick-up. NO REFUNDS WILL BE MADE FOR TRAILERS BROUGHT BACK EARLY because we have to make other rental reservations based on the dates that the renter said he would have the unit.
MINIMUM RENTAL: There is a 4-night minimum on all rentals. |
